Used Wilson Combat Values 2026:
Every Model, Every Caliber.

Wilson Combat was founded in 1977 by Bill Wilson in Berryville, Arkansas. Originally a 1911 gunsmithing shop, Wilson Combat is now the largest American semi-custom 1911 builder, an OEM partner for SIG Sauer (WCP320 series), and a growing AR-15 manufacturer. Wilson Combat 1911s — particularly the CQB, Professional, and Tactical Carry series — set the benchmark for production semi-custom 1911s. Hold value extremely well; original-owner guns with paperwork run 80-95% of MSRP on the secondary market.

Wilson Combat Value FAQ

Why are Wilson Combat 1911s so expensive?

Wilson Combat 1911s are hand-fitted with significantly tighter tolerances than mass production guns. Frames and slides are machined from forged steel; barrels are hand-fitted; trigger pulls are hand-tuned to 3.5-4.5 lbs. Production capacity is limited to roughly 6,000 units per year. MSRP runs $3,000-5,000+ for standard models, $5,000-12,000+ for Master / Supergrade. On the used market, Wilson 1911s hold 80-95% of MSRP.

Is the EDC X9 a 1911?

Partially — the EDC X9 uses 1911 controls (slide stop, thumb safety, grip safety) but with a 15-round Hi-Power-style double-stack magazine and modified frame geometry. It's the most popular 9mm Wilson Combat builds and runs $2,895-4,000 MSRP.

What's the WCP320?

Wilson Combat's enhanced SIG P320 — Wilson grip module, custom slide work (machined for optic, slimmer profile), match-grade barrel, tuned trigger, night sights. Built from new SIG components; not a refurbishment. MSRP $1,895-2,495. Trades well on the secondary market because of the Wilson reputation paired with the SIG factory components.

Are Wilson AR-15s competitive with Daniel Defense?

Yes — Wilson Combat ARs use cold-hammer-forged barrels, billet receivers, and hand-tuned triggers. They're priced 20-40% above equivalent Daniel Defense models but offer slightly more refined fit-and-finish. The Recon Tactical and Super Sniper are the most popular configurations.
