Used Tikka Values 2026:
Every Model, Every Caliber.

Tikka was founded in 1893 in Tikkakoski, Finland. Now owned by Sako (and through Sako, by Beretta), Tikka rifles are produced at the same Finnish facility but engineered to a more consumer-friendly price point. The T3X is the dominant mid-priced bolt-action hunting rifle in Europe and a major competitor to Tikka's Sako sister-brand on the U.S. market. Cold-hammer-forged barrels and 0.5 MOA accuracy guarantees set Tikka apart from many other production rifles in its price tier.

Tikka Value FAQ

Are Tikka rifles really sub-MOA out of the box?

Tikka guarantees 1 MOA (some configurations 0.5 MOA) with quality factory ammunition. Many shooters report consistent 0.5-0.75 MOA from T3X rifles in match-grade chamberings. Build quality is high for the price point ($800-1,300 MSRP).

Tikka or Sako — which is better?

Both are made at the same Finnish facility. Sako 85 is the premium tier with hand-fitted action, finer wood, and engraved metalwork ($2,400-4,500 MSRP). Tikka T3X is the consumer tier — same Finnish steel, same cold-hammer-forged barrels, but less hand-finishing ($800-1,400). Most shooters find Tikkas indistinguishable from Sakos in actual field accuracy.

Is the original T3 still produced?

No — the T3X (2016+) replaced the original T3 (2003-2016). Mechanically identical action with refined ergonomics, an improved magazine release, and metallic recoil pad. T3 used examples are still common; trade slightly below T3X equivalents.

What's the Roughtech?

Tikka's Roughtech is a textured polymer stock with a unique micro-cell foam structure and a coyote brown finish. Made for hard-use field rifles. The Ember variant has the orange Ember accent. Both run $1,200-1,500.
