Rock River Arms Value FAQ

Are Rock River Arms competition-grade?

Yes — RRA was a major service-rifle competition supplier in the early 2000s. The LAR-15 NM-A4 was specifically designed for High Power and Service Rifle competition. RRA's match triggers have been industry standards.

Why is the BT-3 named that?

BT-3 refers to RRA's newer billet-receiver .308 platform — a 'Big Trigger' style 3rd-generation .308 design. It's more compact and lighter than the older LAR-8 series and uses a magazine that's compatible with multiple AR-10-pattern systems.

Is RRA still in production?

Yes — Rock River Arms continues full production from Colona, Illinois. The brand has gone through some transitions but remains an active independent maker. Current production is widely available, though some collectors prefer mid-2000s LAR-15s for the fit and finish of that era.
