Kimber Manufacturing Inc. was founded in 1979 by Australian gunmaker Jack Warne in Clackamas, Oregon. The company moved to Yonkers, New York in 1997 and is currently headquartered in Troy, Alabama. Kimber's 1911 family is the largest in U.S. production, covering every traditional configuration from the Custom II all the way through the Rapide tactical and Aegis Elite carry variants. The K6s revolvers and Micro 9 / Micro Carry compacts are mainstream concealed-carry options. Hunter and Mountain Ascent bolt-action rifles round out the lineup.
