Hi-Point Value FAQ
Are Hi-Point pistols safe to shoot?
Yes — Hi-Points use a simple straight-blowback action with a polymer-frame magazine well and steel/zamak slide. They function reliably for casual to moderate use. Build quality is utilitarian (no polish, no fit-and-finish refinement). The lifetime warranty is genuine and applies regardless of who owns the gun.
Do Hi-Points have any collector value?
Generally no — they're produced in extremely high volumes at consumer-friendly prices. Older Beemiller-era (pre-2010) production is slightly preferred over current. Special-edition colors trade roughly $30-50 above standard finishes.
Why does the carbine sell so well?
The 995TS / 4095TS carbines deliver a functional pistol-caliber carbine at $300-400 MSRP — roughly half the price of a Ruger PC Carbine. Magazine compatibility is Hi-Point-only (proprietary), but the gun itself is reliable for the price point and very popular for entry-level home defense.
What's the YEET in Yeet Cannon?
Hi-Point branded one of their carbine variants 'Yeet Cannon' as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the meme nickname Hi-Point pistols accumulated online. The Yeet Cannon variants are otherwise identical to standard production but in distinctive cerakote or labeled finishes.
