Diamondback Firearms Value FAQ
Is Diamondback Firearms related to Diamondback Tactical?
No — separate companies. Diamondback Firearms (Cocoa, Florida) makes pistols and rifles. Diamondback Tactical is a holster manufacturer. Different ownership.
Are DB15 carbines comparable to PSA?
Yes — similar tier and price point. Diamondback runs ~$50-100 above equivalent PSA configurations with slightly tighter QC. Both deliver reliable mid-tier ARs at consumer-friendly prices ($600-1,000).
Why is the Sidekick unique?
It's the only currently-produced 9-shot single-action revolver with swappable .22 LR and .22 Magnum cylinders in the U.S. market. Heritage and Ruger Wrangler offer .22 LR but not the convertible Magnum cylinder. Sidekick MSRP runs $370-450; trades quickly on the used market because of the unique value proposition.
Are Diamondback pistols still competitive?
The original DB9 / DB380 (2010-2018) had reputation issues — slide cracking under high round counts. The DB9R Micro Compact (2022+) is a complete redesign and competes directly with the SIG P365 and Hellcat. Sells around $400-500.
