Used Cabot Guns Values 2026:
Every Model, Every Caliber.

Cabot Gun Company was founded in 2011 in Sturgis, South Dakota (later moved to Cabot, Pennsylvania, hence the name). Cabot 1911s are CNC-machined from aerospace-grade billet stainless steel — the company markets them as the most precisely-machined production 1911s in the world. Cabot famously produced a 1911 made from a piece of the Gibeon meteorite. Cabot pistols are at the top of the U.S. 1911 market by price, typically $4,500-8,000 for standard models, $20,000+ for engraved/custom pieces.

Cabot Guns Value FAQ

Are Cabot 1911s actually made from meteorite?

Yes — Cabot's famous 'Big Bang' pair was machined from a Gibeon meteorite (estimated ~4 billion years old). Only a small number of meteorite pistols have ever been produced. Standard Cabot 1911s are made from aerospace-grade billet stainless steel.

Why are Cabot 1911s so expensive?

Cabot's production process uses billet stainless steel hand-machined to tolerances roughly 1/10th of typical production 1911s. Surfaces are hand-polished and hand-fitted. Each pistol is built by a single named gunsmith. MSRP starts at $4,500-5,500 for standard models and exceeds $20,000-100,000+ for engraved / Custom Shop and One-of-a-Kind pieces.

What is the South Paw?

Cabot's mirror-image 1911 designed exclusively for left-handed shooters — every control (slide stop, safety, magazine release, ejection port) is mirrored from the standard right-handed 1911. The most unique offering in the industry. Sold in matched pairs with a right-handed companion at premium prices.

Do Cabot 1911s hold value?

Yes, generally — Cabot's exclusive production and CNC precision-machining drive strong secondary-market demand. Used Cabots in original condition typically run 80-95% of MSRP. Limited edition / Custom Shop pieces often appreciate above original retail.
