Anderson Manufacturing Value FAQ

Are Anderson ARs reliable?

Generally yes — Anderson rifles use the same basic mil-spec dimensions and adequate materials at the entry-level price point. Fit-and-finish is unremarkable. They function reliably for casual to moderate use. Anderson is one of the best values in the low-end AR market.

What is RF85 coating?

RF85 is Anderson's proprietary self-lubricating coating. The marketing claim is that lubrication isn't needed — in practice most owners still lubricate normally. Coating doesn't add meaningful value at resale.

Should I worry about Anderson 'Punisher' lower legality?

The Punisher skull is a Marvel-licensed trademark. Anderson's use has been disputed by Marvel/Disney; production is intermittent. Some collectors view current Punisher-marked lowers as semi-collectible. Generally legal to own.
