Used Aero Precision Values 2026:
Every Model, Every Caliber.

Aero Precision was founded in 2009 in Tacoma, Washington, originally as a CNC machining contractor for aerospace and defense. They pivoted to the firearms market in the early 2010s and now produce some of the most-widely-used AR-15/AR-10 receivers, complete rifles, and components in the U.S. market. The M4E1 (forged) and M5 (forged AR-10) platforms have become the standard 'enthusiast tier' alternative to premium brands at half the price.

Aero Precision Value FAQ

How does Aero compare to Daniel Defense?

Aero is a tier below Daniel Defense in materials and final fit-and-finish — but at roughly half the price. The M4E1 upper has a billet-style enhanced design that adds value over plain forged. Aero rifles are excellent for entry to mid-level AR ownership; resale value runs lower than DD but the value proposition is significantly better.

Is the Solus a serious precision rifle?

Yes — the Solus is Aero's full-custom-level bolt-action with a Howa-derived action wrapped in Aero's chassis system. Competition variants compete directly with the Bergara HMR and the Tikka T3X TAC A1 at similar price points.

Are forged or billet Aero lowers better?

Forged is the standard mil-spec process. Aero's billet lowers (M4E1 / M5E1) offer more aesthetic detail and slightly tighter fit but cost more. For pure function and value, forged is the standard recommendation.
