About the Ruger 10/22 Carbine
The Ruger 10/22 has been America's rimfire rifle since 1964. Over seven million have been built. The 10-round rotary magazine, the simplicity of the bolt system, and the deepest aftermarket of any rimfire firearm have made it the platform of choice for first-time shooters, plinkers, hunters, and competitive rimfire shooters alike.
Why the Ruger 10/22 Carbine Is Valued
You will never have trouble selling a 10/22. Used examples in working condition move within days at any gun show. Walnut-stocked and heavy-barrel target variants command higher premiums than the standard birch-stocked carbine.
What Affects This Gun's Value
Original walnut-stocked early production (pre-1980) adds $50–100. Heavy-barrel and Target variants sell $50–125 above carbine. Sporter and Compact variants are at par. After-market Volquartsen, Tactical Solutions, or KIDD parts can add or subtract — buyers prefer original configuration.
