About the Browning Citori CXS
The Browning Citori has been the working person's over/under since 1973 — Miroku-built in Japan to Browning specifications, durable enough to last generations, and priced well below European competitors. The CXS variant, introduced in 2012, splits the difference between field and target with versatile barrel length and balance.
Why the Browning Citori CXS Is Valued
Citoris are heirloom shotguns. Resale is strong because they're built to outlast the original owner. Late-model production (post-2000) is preferred for tighter tolerances and improved wood-to-metal fit.
What Affects This Gun's Value
Higher-grade wood (Grade III, Grade VI) adds $300–800. 28-gauge and .410 sub-gauges add $200–400 over 12 and 20. White-receiver vs. blued: white adds $100–200. Engraved Sporting variants add $400–800.
