For most people, pick the one you shoot better. If you have average or larger hands, the G19 will feel better and shoot more accurately for you. Resale Value Comparison
Which Holds Its Value Better?
For resale value, the G19 edges out due to its unmatched buyer pool. The P365 family holds value very well, but the G19 literally has the largest private market of any handgun — when you list a G19 on GunShare.com, more people are looking for it than any other pistol.

FAQs
G19 vs. P365 FAQs
Is the Glock 19 better than the Sig P365?
Neither is objectively “better” — they excel at different things. The G19 is larger, proven over 35 years, has the world’s largest aftermarket, and is preferred by most professional instructors. The P365 is slimmer, lighter, has a better factory trigger, and carries more rounds per unit of size. Most shooters should try both before deciding.
Which is easier to conceal?
The P365 (and P365X Macro) is measurably easier to conceal — it’s 0.16″ slimmer and 0.62″ shorter. For appendix carry or IWB in lighter clothing, the slimmer profile makes a real difference. For OWB or in cooler climates where printing is less of a concern, the G19’s size becomes irrelevant.
Which should a beginner buy?
The Glock G19 for most beginners. The larger grip provides more control for new shooters. The massive training library, instructor familiarity, and parts availability make learning on a G19 advantageous. Upgrade to a slimmer platform after developing fundamentals.
Does the P365 have reliability issues?
Early P365 production (2018–2019) had documented striker issues. Post-2019 production has an excellent reliability record. If buying used, check the production date — post-2019 examples are preferred. Glock’s track record is longer but both are reliable modern pistols.
